Shortstop Bar & Grill nailed it tonight. The patio is awesome. Huge fans ensure no bugs and a nice cool breeze. The waitress was amazing. Every one of the staff that we interacted with was great. Beers came out ice cold. Food was great. What a great place!!!

BONUS POINTS: Paws on the patio - when does your dog get to join you for dinner? Awesome event. Well planned, well executed.

Not knowing the area we were drove into town for a college parents weekend and thought our only options for dinner were chain restaurants. Someone at the school recommended this place and I was very happy we took their advise. I thought it was going to be a dive bar but was pleasantly surprised that this was more of a family sports pub. Food options were good, service was excellent, and there was a nice selection of seasonal cocktails in addition to a full bar. Way better than Applebee's or the 99, and locally owned. Will definitely come again next time we are in the area.

Had a great time at The Shortstop tonight!! Sat outside on their patio and listened to live music!! So beautiful with gorgeous, bright flowers, Palm trees and white lights everywhere.. Great atmosphere!!  Service was superb! Marisa was a delight as well as attentive, knowledgeable, and professional. I had a margarita, which was perfection, one of the best lobster rolls I've EVER had (and we are on the coast all the time) loaded with tons of fresh, sweet, hot, buttered lobster chunks in a perfectly toasted roll with hot, crispy, seasoned french fries! We then dipped inside to watch the Red Sox game. The bartender was on the ball and extremely personable! The owner even took the time to come and say hello. This a gem in Westfield!!

Really wasn't expecting much from this place. My husband has been begging to go here for months now and the reviews are what has kept me from being eager to go. Came in on a Wednesday night and I was surprised to see as many people as there were. Though this may have had something to do with the fact that it was trivia night. But anyway the service was great. Our server was on top of everything and the owner even swung by to check in. We started with the eggplant fries which came out way too fast for me to think they were made fresh in house. Most were soggy from oil but I enjoyed the freshly shaved Parm on top. I ordered the tomato mozzarella pesto panini with chicken. Good size sandwich with a handful of fries as other reviewer's have commented. But the sandwich was surprisingly good. I'd gladly order that again. The only thing that really threw me was the pricing. $9.50 for just the Panini without the chicken seemed to be pretty high. Then you throw into the mix the additional $3  for the chicken. Which I don't mind paying the additional charge to add chicken I just think the regular price for the sandwich was a little high considering it's just cheese and vegetables. My dining companion ordered the Parmesan encrusted chicken. He devoured it and simply wouldn't stop raving about it. I did manage to sneak a bite and the sauce was good. I wasn't thrilled to see an up charge for the side salad he got as one of his 2 sides that came with the entree but again it's just how some places operate so be prepared. By the time we left the place was almost packed. Trivia seems to have a very solid following here so if that's you're thing swing by on a Wednesday!

Great place, lots of space and clean atmosphere. The fried cod bites were perfect. Nice thin breading and plenty of crunch. The fish was tender and very juicy and flavorful. Also had the Reuben which was delicious. I will definitely be back.
